Product Introduction

Erythromycin 20% is a macrolide antibiotic in the form of a water-soluble powder, suitable for use in poultry, turkeys, and fish. It is effective in treating bacterial infections sensitive to erythromycin, including respiratory diseases, enteritis, and urogenital tract infections.

Composition

  • Each gram contains 236 mg erythromycin thiocyanate, equivalent to 200 mg erythromycin base.

Indications

1. In poultry and turkeys: Treatment of infections caused by erythromycin-susceptible organisms, including:

  • CRD complex
  • Infectious coryza
  • Mycoplasma infections
  • Enteritis
  • Urogenital tract infections

Treatment of infections caused by erythromycin-susceptible pathogens, including:

  • Streptococcosis
  • Bacterial Kidney Disease (BKD)

Dosage & Administration

Recommended Dosage in Drinking Water
Target Species Dosage / Duration
Poultry & Turkeys 500 to 1,000 g powder in 1,000 liters of drinking water for 3 to 5 days.
Fish 20 to 50 g per 100 kg body weight in feed for 21 consecutive days (for BKD).
12.5 to 25 g per 100 kg body weight in feed for 4 to 7 days (for streptococcosis).

Note: Dosage and duration should be adjusted based on disease type and severity, under veterinary supervision.

Contraindications

No contraindications at recommended doses.

Drug Interactions

  • Concurrent use with other macrolides, tetracyclines, lincosamides, or florfenicol may result in drug interactions.

Withdrawal Period

  • Meat: 3 days
  • Eggs: 6 days
  • Fish: 3 weeks

Precautions

  • Medicated solution must be consumed within 24 hours.

Storage

  • Store in a dry place at 15–30°C, protected from light and moisture.
