Introduction (Product Introduction)
Amprolium is an anticoccidial drug used for the prevention and treatment of coccidiosis in livestock and poultry. By inhibiting the growth and multiplication of coccidia parasites that cause gastrointestinal diseases in animals, this product helps maintain the health of livestock and poultry.
Composition
Each milliliter of the product contains 96 mg of active amprolium, equivalent to 108.6 mg of amprolium hydrochloride.
Indications
Amprolium 6.9% is used for the prevention and treatment of coccidiosis in livestock and poultry.
Dosage & Administration
- Poultry and turkeys:
250–500 ml in 200 liters of drinking water for 5 days, followed by continued treatment for 1–2 weeks at a dose of 125 ml in 200 liters of drinking water. - Livestock:
10 mg per kg of body weight, equivalent to 250 ml of Amprolium 6.9% in 200 liters of drinking water for 5 days.
This solution should be provided as the sole source of drinking water for livestock and poultry throughout the treatment period.
Note: The duration and dosage of use depend on the type and severity of the disease and are preferably determined by a veterinarian or clinician.
Contraindications
None.
Withdrawal Period
- Poultry and turkeys: None.
- Livestock: 24 hours before slaughter.
Precautions
- After opening the bottle, the contents should be used within 2 months.
- The prepared medicated solution should be consumed within a maximum of 24 hours.
Storage Conditions
Store in a dry place, at a temperature of 15–30°C, away from direct light.
Protect from freezing.
