Product Introduction
DoxyGen 10® is a tetracycline antibiotic containing doxycycline as the active ingredient, formulated as an oral solution for broilers, pullets, layers, turkeys, ornamental birds, pigeons, dogs, cats, and exotic animals. It is indicated for the prevention, control, and treatment of bacterial infections sensitive to doxycycline.
Composition
- Each liter contains 100 g doxycycline (as hyclate).
Indications
Treatment of bacterial infections sensitive to doxycycline, including:
- CRD (Chronic Respiratory Disease)
- Infectious synovitis
- Colibacillosis
- Pasteurellosis (Fowl cholera)
- Salmonellosis
- Infectious coryza
- Staphylococcal and streptococcal infections
- Necrotic enteritis caused by Clostridium perfringens
- Respiratory diseases such as ehrlichiosis and other tick-borne diseases
- Chlamydophila infections
- Chlamydial conjunctivitis in felines
- Mycoplasmosis
- Psittacosis
- Chlamydiosis
- Rickettsiosis

Duration and dosage may vary depending on disease type and severity. Administration should be under veterinary supervision.
Contraindications
- Use in laying hens producing eggs for human consumption is prohibited.
- Use in breeding birds during the reproductive period is prohibited.
- Use during tooth development may cause tooth discoloration.
- Use in pregnant animals or those with esophagitis/dysphagia is contraindicated.
Drug Interactions
- Concurrent use with aminoglycosides, citric acid, antacids, calcium, magnesium, or iron may reduce absorption.
- Phenytoin and phenobarbital increase doxycycline metabolism, reducing plasma levels.
Withdrawal Period
Precautions
- Medicated solution must be consumed within 24 hours.

- Store in a dry place at 15–30°C, protected from light and freezing.

Can it be used with mineral supplements?
No — Ca/Mg/Fe/Zn cations reduce doxycycline absorption.
